Striking a life balance is no easy task to do. It requires hard work and dedication which sometimes can be strenuous to achieve. Can you imagine how overtaxing it is to juggle between your career andproviding for your loved ones?

Studies have shown that stress is commonly caused by interrelationships, such as having to deal with work issues and family-related complications. If left unresolved over time, it could lead to immune deficiency, which later on, might cause other parts of our body to show signs of disruption like hair loss.

Many of us could attest to that. It’s like always autumnal equinox whenever we experience chronic hair fall, most especially at the prime of stress. At its peak, our white blood cells attack no less than the follicles, thus causing alopecia. What’s more, anxiety could drive your mane into a prolonged resting phase, which is called telogen effluvium.

Stress experienced by the body or beyond our coping resources could trigger hair loss symptoms, which, if not addressed properly, could result to early baldness. Worried about this? Fret no more. You can beat it simply by relaxing, eating or flexing some muscles.

Never underestimate the power of sleep. If you feel that you are over your head in dealing with anxieties, choose to rest it off for a while and recharge.

Let’s get physical to de-stress. It helps release endorphins, or what is known as the happy hormones, that can be beneficial in relieving the tension.

Buhay OFW TV with Host Marissa Del Mar Celebrates 7 Years: Founds ATOM to fight Modern Day Slavery

A media launch was held last July 18, 2017 at Golden Bay Restaurant, Pasay City to launch the oath taking event that will happen on October. As multi-awarded public service show, Buhay OFW which airs every Saturday at 9:30 pm on Aksyon TV and Aksyon International, celebrates its 7th year anniversary, they take a significant leap forward by launching the project Anti Trafficking OFW Movement (ATOM) through the initiative of host and founder, Marissa del Mar.

ATOM is as a step towards remedying the statistics of over 10 million Filipino men, women, and children subjected to sex trafficking and forced labor worldwide. Our OFW, in dire need to provide a better future for themselves and their families, constitute a large percentage of those already exploited or at risk of being exploited. This campaign recognizes the contribution of the OFW not only in the Philippine Economic Development but also in the promotion of safety among their fellow migrants.

Although a term less estranged to many due to depictions in entertainment outlets such as Hollywood movies, human-trafficking is an ongoing hazard closer to home than most people expect and realize. UNDOC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) recognizes trafficking in as simple a situation as the recruitment of a person for a false job within or across national borders with the intention to trap them into forced labor. More often, however, the deception and abuse does not stop there. It leads to prostitution, sexual exploitation, slavery, and removal of organs.

Some common destinations for victims are Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore, Qatar, China, Japan, United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia – places popular to the general public as tourist destinations. Ninoy Aquino International Airport and Mactan International Airport become exit points for workers expecting real jobs abroad only to be met instead with real threats. They are also smuggled and trafficked in ports in Ilocos Sur, Zamboanga del Sur, Davao del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Bicol, and Dagupan City with 30% transported by sea.

These victims – a large number of whom originate from areas within Metro Manila and in the provinces of Laguna, Rizal, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, Cebu, Zamboanga, and Davao – are the same people who contribute to the Philippines 180 billion pesos in total remittance which lead to the amassing of foreign reserves and the rise of the national savings rate. They sacrifice their comfort, health, marriages, children, and often their pride, to improve their recipient households and, in the process, the national economy. These are the people stripped of their human rights by predators operating under pretense of recruitment agencies and other aliases.

Through the combined efforts of Buhay OFW Foundation, San Miguel Corporation, Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC), National Real Estate Association (NREA), Sterling Group of Companies, Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine Chinese Charitable Association (PCCA), Zonta Club of Makati Central Business District,  Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PCCCII), together also with our media partners Aksyon TV, ANC, Light Network Channel, Malaya Business Insight,  these facts become the foundation on which change begins. The meaningful oath taking will take place on October 23, Monday at the Diamond Hotel, Manila.

Cooperation with these organizations and authorities could uncover and convict more labor traffickers and officials and establishments complicit in these crimes. The resulting assistance of thousands of victims opens opportunities for further action towards the safety of all.

ATOM challenges Filipinos here and abroad to raise awareness, strengthen camaraderie, and therefore reduce – in hopes of someday eliminating – this threat to our OFW altogether.

Early Sunday Mornings Become Brighter with Wazzup Pilipinas Radio

There is truth to the old adage that the early bird catches the worm since several studies have also correlated waking up early with success. It seems success could easily be attained when an individual maintains the habit of beating the sunrise to eagerly start his daily adventures feeling refreshed, highly energized and with renewed enthusiasm.

Most successful people are those who get a head start on the day by knocking out tasks before the rest of the world, especially their peers and competitors, has rolled out of bed. They are the go-getters who want to work longer hours but still have enough time for their personal lives too. The biographies of history’s greatest men would reveal that most of them were early risers. &They were men of action who had things to do and people to see. They couldn’t dilly dally under the covers.&
Early risers can be more productive, successful, and calm. They are happier, healthier and more productive than night owls. Normally, those who are punctual and are never late for work, events, meetings, and other gatherings and activities, often get the biggest opportunity because not only do they gain the admiration of their superiors and peers for their punctuality, they often send across the message that they are highly reliable, resourceful and organized.
Since traffic congestion has become a normal scenario nowadays, giving it as an excuse for being late no longer counts as an acceptable reason. Early risers have a habit of making their way to their destinations even before they get caught in a jam. They avoid such hassles because they plan ahead so that even before all the rest of the PUVs and private cars congest the streets of Metro Manila, they've already managed to mark the most convenient routes to reach their target destinations.

Now, there are more reasons to wake up early even on Sunday mornings. Wazzup Pilipinas Radio has been regularly on air on a weekly basis every Sunday at 6 to 7 am, and has proudly topped all the rest of the early morning radio shows during that time. The radio show has been airing live on DZRJ 810 AM and livestreaming on 8Trimedia Network's social media pages via YouTube: http://bit.ly/2sDn0dU and via Facebook Live: http://bit.ly/2sDTe8L

Car Awards Group Inc. Holds First-ever Dealer Talks at Honda Cars Manila Bay

It’s halfway through 2017 and a lot of accomplishments have been made that are yet to be celebrated and acknowledged – it is a year worth looking forward to with many more new cars, new trucks, new achievements and new goals still waiting to unfold in the automotive industry.
The Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI), the organizers of the annual Car of the Year Philippines (COTY-P) and Truck of the Year Philippines (TOTY-P) and now the Motorcycle of the Year Philippines (MOTY-P), just spiced things up for the next six months by holding their first-ever Dealer Talks at Honda Cars Manila Bay – Honda Cars Makati, Inc.’s (HCMI) newest dealership in the Metro under AC Automotive – last June 24, 2017. The said “Dealer Talks”, which served as a prelude to a series of activities set again this July is a 3-hour conference wherein sales representatives of the winning vehicles get to know how, why, and what made their products achieve the prestigious COTY and TOTY awards. This aspires to further help enhance the image of the winning vehicles and strengthen the over-all value of the brand in the eyes of the consumers.
Furthermore, the said activity aims to deliver the message that these citations are not just any ordinary accolades bestowed on just any other ordinary product as the group remains the only organization in the country that conducts these instrumented tests to determine the best vehicles in the country.
“There is a story behind every crown and this is our way of telling it to the public,” said CAGI President Ronald de los Reyes.
“We’ve been awarding vehicles since 2004 and we just believed that our unique process needed to be further disseminated through these talks,” he added.
The CAGI head honcho led the endeavor, followed by more thorough and specialized discussions from CAGI Technical Director Niky Tamayo and KPMG R.G. Manabat and Co. Risk Consulting Supervisor Christian Eamilio. Meantime, supporter Petron Corporation’s Field Technical Services Engineer Mike Cerda shared some knowledge of their own product while Carmudi Philippines, the group’s proud partner for the past three years took part through their newest publication, the Carmudi Magazine.
The Honda Civic 1.5 RS Turbo won last year’s Car of the Year Award, and with Honda Cars Makati, Inc.’s continuous mission of providing customer satisfaction through quality products and excellent service, the Honda community is, yet again, set on showcasing its top of the line vehicles. With dedication and confidence, 2017 will hopefully be another year where a Honda vehicle will bring home the Car of the Year – Philippines Award.  Honda Cars Makati Inc., with branches in Makati (Magallanes and Greenbelt), Pasig, Alabang, Shaw, Global City, and Manila Bay is a member of AC Automotive along with Honda Cars Cebu, Inc., Isuzu Automotive Dealership Inc., Isuzu Cebu Inc., Iconic Dealership, Inc., and KTM Philippines.
The event also will not be possible without its sponsors Petron Blaze, KPMG and Carmudi.

About CAGI
CAGI, a non-profit entity composed of motoring journalists has been recognizing outstanding vehicles since 2004. This group ensures that the vehicles undergo extensive qualitative and quantitative testing before they award the best vehicle. The group is also here to help heighten consumer awareness about finding the best vehicles available by making informed choices.

The said “Dealer Talks” also serves as a preamble to the group’s annual test fest in September and October with the culminating  activity—the awards night set in November this year.
