GO NEGOSYO LAUNCHES MENTORSHIP IN FRANCHISING

Go Negosyo marks another breakthrough for its advocacy of bringing mentorship closer to every Filipino through the Mentor Me On Wheels program in partnership with two biggest franchising organizations in the Philippines!

More than 100 franchise owners from the Philippine Franchise Association ( PFA ) and the Association of the Filipino Franchisers Inc., ( AFFI ) introduced franchising to aspiring, budding and existing entrepreneurs and franchises last January 29, 2018 at SM Megamall Events Center.

More than 800 mentees registered and took part in the mentoring session with their mentors. The large number of participants proved that people are eager to learn how to build and sustain a business that later on can lead to prosperity.

Both PFA and AFFI have been staunch supporters of Go Negosyo. PFA is guided by mission to promote franchising as a tool for economic development and nation building, through enterprise development and employment generation. AFFI, on the other hand, continues to inspire the public to take part in franchising industry offering technical assistance such as research and development and has taken significant marks in the industry.

" This is the first time that PFA and AFFI come together in a special round of mentoring for our aspiring franchisees and franchisors, Given their companies' success, I am sure that they were able to guide our mentees in scaling up or starting their own businesses by acquiring innovative franchise model, " Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion said.

PA Joey Concepcion was joined by Amb. Philippe J. Lhuiller, Philippine Ambassador to Spain and other franchise owner such as Samie Lim, Chairman Emeritus of PFA; Dr. Alan Escalano, Chairman of PFA, and CEO of Fruit Magic; Richard Sanz, President of PFA and President of Bibingkinitan; Joyce Co Yu, President of AFFI and owner of Trueblends Tea and Coffee; Eric Caeg, Chairman of AFFI and President & CEO of RAP Training and Marketing Services; and Jorge Wieneke, Vice President of AFFI and President and CEO of Tokyo Tempura.

It was under another milestone for the program as it brought PFA and AFFI together in one mentorship program focused on franchising.

Through MMOW and Mentor Me Online - the mobile application for mentoring, Go Negosyo and its partner, Department of Trade and Industry ( DTI ), introduce mentors to micro and small entrepreneurs, and offers technical know-how and practical entrepreneurship strategies.
