A SALUTE TO THE HEAD OF THE FAMILY
Fathers are said to be the pillars of our homes. They toil sun up to sun down to give our needs and desires. They prioritize the welfare of everybody over his own.

So let’s give him his day rightfully. Father’s Day has been a yearly universal event. As we mark again this special occasion on Sunday, June 18, 2017, our applause and recognition will never be enough to show them how grateful we are to have them in our lives.

Let’s honor these gallant men,  our tatay, daddy, papa, itay or whatever you may call him. Let us make them feel how extraordinary they are and how important their sacrifices are for their families.  From infancy up to adulthood, Dad, together of course with our equally loving Mom, feed and clothe us. As we take our initial baby steps, our patriarchs guide and lead us in the right direction. When we stumble and fall, they assist us to rise and move on. In times of danger or any threat, they shield us from any harm.

Their selflessness, though, has its own toll. Working tirelessly could lead to high levels of stress constantly and problems not only mentally, but physically, too. So better watch out for the signs.

Has tatay been constantly complaining about losing strands and strands of his hair every day? Or maybe has he been searching for a way on how to get them to grow back?

According to the hair loss statistics conducted by Statistic Brain in the year 2016, 40 percent of men experience noticeable mane vanishing as early as age 35. And as per the American Hair Loss Association, there are a couple of different factors that cause excessive hair fall, one being extreme degree of stress.

Still have no idea on what to give him on his big day? Why not give him Novuhair?

NOVUHAIR  is a revolutionary product introduced by Nutramedica, proven effective and safe to help prevent and stop the progression of hair loss and, at the same time, helps promote hair growth. It is made from 19 natural herbs, essential oils and co-factor nutrients all working synergistically. This nature’s answer to hair loss provides him the chance to be ahead already in preventing his “crowning glory” from receding in the near future.

Simply spray a liberal amount of NOVUHAIR topical scalp lotion onto the scalp and massage for 5-10 minutes. Voila, it penetrates deeply into the roots, which helps rejuvenate, nourish and maintain the natural moisture of the hair.  NOVUHAIR is also available in shampoo and conditioner formats to further complement the benefits of NOVUHAIR topical scalp lotion.

So, what are you waiting for? Head on to the nearest Mercury Drug outlet and get one for your very special daddies! You may also order NOVUHAIR online at www.lazada.com.ph. For inquiries, you may call 413-6570 or 0922-8830575, and visit www.novuhair.com.

NEDA LAUNCHES THE PHILIPPINE DEVELOPMENT PLAN

The National Economic and Development Authority launched the Philippine Development Plan ( PDP ) 2017 - 2022, the blueprint for the country's development under the Duterte Administration, in Pasay City, Friday.

Over 300 people from the public and private sectors attended the event, titled Aksyon para sa AmBisyon: The Philippine Development Plan Expo.

The PDP 2017 - 202 largely stems from the 0 -10 point Socioeconomic Agenda. It is the first of four medium - term plans that will work towards realizing AmBisyon Natin 2040, the collective vision of Filipinos over the next 25 years.

Now available online, the PDP has 21 chapters aimed at laying a strong foundation for inclusive growth, a high - trust and resilient society, and globally competitive economy - all of which will enable Filipinos to achieve their aspiration of a " matatag, maginhawa, at panatag na buhay."

The said plan is structured along the pillars of malasakit ( i. e., enhancing the social fabric ), pagbabago ( i. e., inequality - reducing transformation ), and patuloy na pag - unlad  ( i. e., increasing growth potential ).

The PDP has set targets that the government aims to achieve.

By 2022, the Philippines will be an upper - middle income country. The growth rate of GDP is set at 7 to 8 percent in medium term.

Overall poverty rate is targeted to decline from 21.6 percent in 2015 to 14 percent by 2022. Poverty incidence in rural areas is intended to decrease from 30 percent to 20 percent for the same period.

The unemployment rate will also go down to 3- 5 percent by 2022 from 5.5 percent in 2016.

Other targets are higher trust in government and society, more resilient individuals and communities, and a greater drive for innovation.

Embedded in the PDP are bedrock strategies that provide the necessary environment for the plan to work. These include achieving peace and security, accelerating infrastructure development, building resilent communities, ensuring ecological integrity.

" We already have the goal. Now here's the plan to turn AmBisyon Natin 2040 into reality," Secretary of Socioeconomic Planning Ernesto M. Pernia said.

Senator Loren Legarda, National Competitiveness Council Chairperson Guillermo Luz, and Dean Dennis Mapa of UP School of Statistics were present in the Expo and spoke on the pillars of PDP.

The Expo also featured booths showcasing the strategies set in the PDP, as well as plans and ongoing programs of government agencies.
