Where to go in Baguio: Tree Top Adventure
Experience extreme adventure and extreme relaxation at Tree Top Adventure Baguio, the only motorized zipline in the Philippines and the only Team Building facility in Baguio. With seven outdoor activities and team building facilities, located within Camp John Hay, surrounded by pine trees and overlooking breathtaking views, Tree Top Adventure Baguio offers an adventure of a lifetime this Summer 2018.
For the thrill seekers who want to experience extreme adventure, you might want to experience our Tree Drop in which you’ll be suspended 60 feet above the ground, mission impossible style and you’ll be falling as fast as 2 to 3 seconds. This Tree Top’s most extreme activity is one way to really quench your thirst for adrenaline rush. You might also want to try our rides done in pairs: the Superman Ride and Silver Surfer. As the name implies, you’ll be ziplining, Superman Style, 200 meters long, 150 feet above the ground, but instead of doing it just forwards, you would also be zipliningbackwards. Silver Surfer is a 60 degree diagonal motorized zipline in which you’ll be standing on a specialized platform and you’ll be gliding up and down for three cycles. Expect that there would be stops and swings for every cycle, you could experience what superheroes feel as they fly and glide through the air.

For those who want to experience extreme relaxation, you could try the Canopy and Funicular ride. The Canopy is similar to the concept of cable cars, but instead, you’ll be seated on cable chairs in which you’ll be transferring from one station to another until you complete all eight stations. When you reach the station four of the Canopy, you would walk for around 2 to 3 minutes to be able to reach the connecting ride of Canopy which is the Funicular ride. This ride is similar to the concept of elevator, but, instead of standing up, you’ll be seated. This is at least a way for you to conquer your fear of heights. But, if you really have extreme fear of heights, you could just avail the Trekking and Skywalk in which you would walk around Tree Top’s area and go up the skywalk area, or the viewing deck in which you could see the mountains of Itogon, Benguet or what they call the old Baguio before. You could stay at the Skywalk areas long as you want to take pictures and feel the cold breeze.

If your company plans to have a convention or seminar at Baguio, you might want to experience our Team Building Activities which includes two high element activities (Tree Drop and Silver Surfer), five low element activities, boodle lunch and facilitators for just Php 800.00 per head only. The activities would really challenge each member and how they work with their workmates. Work and play, as the clichรฉ says!
You might also want to try another branch of Tree Top Adventure Subic located at the JEST Area, Upper Mau Cubi Point Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

SamgyupSalamat Under Korean Alley getting bigger
Samgyupsal
Samgyupsalamat was coined from the word “Samgyupsal” which is “Pork belly” in Korea, and “Salamat”, which means “Thank you” in the Filipino. Combining the two, it makes “Samgyupsalamat”. It is kind of a language play but to add a meaning on it, it means, “Thank you for eating Samgyupsal”.
From more and more customers a day to waiting customers in line. That is our story. That is Samgyupsalamat’s story.
According to Sassy Punzalan (Operations Manager) “SamgyupSalamat /Zoomanity Group in UnliCity At Century CityMall were very helpful in training the staffs. Customers were flocking in and we were not actually surprised since in all their locations, it’s always like that with customers waiting in line till 2 in the morning.”
Expansion
Samgyupsalamat Under Korean Alley are in 4 locations just in a span of less than a year. Locations are in Metropolitan in Makati, Residence Inn Tagaytay, Century City Mall in Makati and At Alabang Town Center.

The 14th Philippine Food Expo 2018 This April 20-22 At SMX
With the rapid evolution of food consumer preference and the growing demands for food production that goes with increasing population and stronger spending power, the agri-food sector remains the biggest employment sector in the ASEAN community accounting for 38% of its work force. As such, the agri-food industry is a top-ranked priority for the ASEAN integration, with bulk of their economic growth, trade and investments depending on it. However, there is much to be accomplished for its sustainable growth and development by raising land productivity and ensuring market demands.
The ASEAN agribusiness is also gaining power in export trading. Latest studies present great opportunities for intra-ASEAN trade in agri-food. Albeit a smaller share of 2.5% to total exports as compared to a 4.3% share of extra-ASEAN exports to total exports, its growth has significantly doubled from 2008-2011 with more growth potential projected if the ASEAN is able to achieve harmonization of standards across all its participating countries and address the technical barriers to trade.
With the rise of globalization of food trade, the challenge of keeping up with the changes in consumption and demand as incomes rise with population growth and greater economic prosperity remain. The rise of wealth and spending power result to greater consumer demand and a change in diets require more variety and nutritious food at affordable prices. These changes in urbanization and consumer behaviour are also evident in the shift of raw materials sourcing - from small farms to modern supermarkets. Food manufacturers and retailers may take advantage of this shift as great opportunities present themselves in the rise of global groceries and the increase of processed food exports. According to the Institute of Grocery Distribution, Asia’s grocery markets are forecasted to surpass Europe and North America combined within the next 4 years.
These evolving trends will be the central theme of the 14th Philippine Food Expo scheduled on at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, Manila, Philippines.

ASEAN Leaders Create a New Vision of a Sustainable Future at the Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society 2018
In a rare opportunity that gathers respected ASEAN leaders and industry movers and shakers in the corporate social responsibility sphere, the Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society (AFES) sheds new light to the future that impacts relevant issues in the region.
With the theme, “The Future Re-Imagined,” AFES surfaces thought-provoking conversations on governance, healthcare, finance, education, energy, and social enterprises, among other salient topics in the region. The discussions are founded on four pillars: Social Innovation, Corporate Responsibility, Governance, and Greatness of Spirit.
AFES is co-convened by the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018; the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation (RMAF), which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018; the AIM-Ramon V. Del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Social Responsibility; and the Asia Inc Forum.
The Vice-President of the Philippines, Leni Robredo, opens the two-day conference with a keynote speech on the future of the Philippines and her anti-poverty advocacies.
Meanwhile, to set the mood for the two-day conference at the Conrad Hotel, futurist Ross Dawson, author of “Living Networks” and Founding Chairman of Future Exploration Network, shares his vision of a different future. “The future is not all about advanced technology. Collectively, we should build it in a way that is still livable and presents and equal opportunity for everyone,” he stated.
“Coming up with this kind of an event is a gargantuan task, but as we move faster toward progress, we have to start having conversations on the kind of future we want to have,” says AIM President, CEO, and Dean Dr. Jikyeong Kang. “We want people to re-evaluate current actions. Progress for the sake of progress must be redirected to something more beneficial to the common good.”
RMAF Board of Trustee Mr. Senen Bacani explains, “A sustainable future is not an abstract concept or a lofty dream. This event illustrates that as we build a future for ourselves there are accompanying issues that should not be left out. From the conversations that we start in this event, we want people to know that we all have a role to play to ensure that the coming future is place for all of us.”
There are 17 sessions in the event that showcase best practices, case studies, industry dynamics, and cross-cultural encounters from recognized speakers across the region. Plenary sessions, keynote speeches, and breakout discussions will ensure revolutionary conversations that will transcend the event to initiate call to action.
Among the event’s speakers are: Mr. Anshu Gupta, Founder of Goonj, and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee 2015; Dr. Harish Hande, Managing Director of SELCO-India and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee 2011; Mr. Alfredo I. Ayala, CEO of Ayala Education; Mr. Paolo F. Borromeo, CEO of Ayala Healthcare Holdings; Atty. Lilia de Lima, Director General of Philippine Economic Zone Authority and Ramon Magsaysay Awardee 2016; and Professor David Grayson, Author on Corporate Responsibility and Professor Emeritus at Cranfield University.
